About me and how I work

I am an experienced psychotherapist who has been qualified for nearly 25 years.  I am accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (www.psychotherapy.org.uk) and I offer both short and longer term treatment.  I originally trained at Guy's Hospital in cognitive analytic therapy (CAT). I work collaboratively, intelligently and compassionately, always with an eye to our shared goals for your treatment. If you would like to know more about CAT, please visit www.acat.me.uk

I have extensive experience of working in the NHS and for 8 years was a Consultant Adult Psychotherapist for Berkshire, working as the clinical lead for CAT.

Most of us are searching for inner peace. I am committed to the idea that everything we need is held within us and that my job as a psychotherapist is to help you recognise and remove the blocks which stop you accessing your own healing inner resources.

I work with a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, work-related stress, relationship issues, low self-esteem, grief, existential unhappiness, etc. I would be happy to talk to you on the phone to see if your problems might be helpfully eased by a course of psychotherapy treatment.

I am also an experienced trainer and supervisor, so please do get in touch if you would like to discuss my availability in these areas.

I am a registered provider for AXA, Aviva and BUPA.

My psychotherapy practice is in Ramsbury which is in close reach of Swindon, Newbury, Hungerford and Marlborough.
